Professional Development
ICPN Team members have been providing onsite-learning opportunities since inception of the program in 2010. In 2015, ICPN launched the Professional Development Initiative to benefit members of the community and provider agencies. Since this time, team members of ICPN as well as outside speakers have offered Professional Development Workshops and Learning Experiences throughout the state of Illinois. Goals of this initiative include educational opportunities for those who care for and provide services to people with ID/D and mental illness, providing relevant tools, and attempting to shift the focus treatment away from crisis towards prevention.
